FIRST FRIDAY ART NIGHTS
Cortland First Fridays joins an informal nationwide movement to celebrate the arts in local communities on the first Friday of each month. Participating galleries, studios, artists, interested businesses, music and performing arts venues will be open to the public from 5 pm to 8 pm to spotlight the arts.

Explore the 17th Annual Rock Garden Art Show in The Gallery at the Center for the Arts of Homer. Join from 5-8 for the opening reception to view the artwork and meet the artists.
Meet the artists of the Cortland Art League at their opening reception at the Cortland Free Library. Peruse prints and cards as well as original works available for sale. Light refreshments will be available, as well as music by Crown City Brass.
In collaboration with Magpie Custom Creations, Cinch Art Space is offering a completely free clothing swap with wine & cheese potluck for you and your friends! Just bring the clothes you want to swap and, if you wish, a contribution to the snack table.
The exhibit Beyond Places in Time by TeaYoun Kim-Kassor will be on display in the Dowd Gallery- SUNY Cortland October 14 through December 6. Visit the gallery between 5:30 and 8 pm on First Friday for a guided tour in the Dowd Fine Arts Center Dowd Gallery.
First Fridays at the 1890 House Museum will showcase A Wickwire Gallery. Explore the 1890 House Museum while viewing a variety of photos, art and items that have not been accessible to the public in recent years.
An exhibit featuring David Beale and his Artist Cohorts will be held at the YWCA Cortland gallery through the month of November.
